A hybrid of Live Oak (Quercus virginiana) and Overcup Oak (Quercus lyrata). The bark, like Overcup Oak, is reminiscent of White Oak, and foliage is a deep, dark green throughout the summer. Very fast growth rate and resilience to urban conditions make this an excellent alternative to more common species.
