The bottomland version of Pin Oak and Shumard Oak, Nuttall Oak (as a seedling group) is becoming preferred over both previously mentioned species due to it’s greater adaptability, much cleaner leaf-drop in winter, faster growth rate, more consistent fall color, and tendency to maintain a central leader.
